I’m a little late making applesauce this year. It usually takes me 2 days to do 2 or 3 bushels of apples. This year we bought 2 bushels. I also bought something that made it so much easier that I finished in 5 hours instead of 2 days!

And here is what I bought to make things easier. A KitchenAid! I can’t believe I’ve done without it all these years. I’ve been using a hand cranked food mill that used to take me forever! Not anymore.

Finished product. Total of 25 quarts canned.

Ugh.  16 year old son wants SpongeBob stuff for Christmas.  Ugh.  I hate SpongeBob.  Like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.

While bouncing back to the thing I was interested in the night before last, I finally realized how to accomplish something that had eluded me before.  All it took was one word that I read on another’s blog.  “Crop”.  That was it.  Just “Crop”.  Sometimes I’m not the brightest light bulb in the pack….

Son and daughter sang a duet in church today.   They did a  great job.  People stopped me afterwards and said I must be so proud.  I am.

I myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions.
