Know anyone who wants an adorable kitten?

I caught my favorite barn cat waiting on our porch close to the bird feeder. The feeder is far enough away from the porch that the birds can’t be reached, but she sure hopes that someday…

The kitten is doing wonderfully. I am getting very sad, though, because he will be advertised in the paper tomorrow and I know someone will want him right away and I really don’t want to give him up but I have to.

I just love this picture so much I had to put a better quality one on this post so you could see it more clearly. I feel like singing “I’m a little teapot” when I look at it.
All aboard the Friday Ark #112. Carnival of the Cats is being hosted this week by The Whole Kitten Kaboodle.
I commented on Chris Dolley’s blog about his gorgeous “tribble” kittens yesterday. You know what they say, be careful what you wish for. I can home to my kids finding these.

We brought them in the house because the temperatures are falling below freezing at night and even though we have a barn where they can snuggle in the hay, I felt it best to bring them in so we can find good homes for them when they are ready. We already have enough cats and have been unable to trap the wild ones that are still having kittens to have them spayed.
This is my favorite farm cat. She’s not tame, but she doesn’t always run if we’re just walking by her. It’s hard to tell in this picture, but she has blue eyes, which I absolutely love!

We got Tink the first year we were married. She owned the house even though we paid the mortgage.
She died 3 years ago at age 16. She truly was a special part of our family.

I decided to try something different (at least for me). Submit captions for this picture and we’ll have a vote on the best one. No prizes.
Just having a little fun.
