I’m Neither A Writer Nor A Photographer
Written by tbirdonawire on February 25th, 2009I’m definitely not a writer. English composition was my worst subject in school and I was a straight A student. I had to work very hard to get decent grades in any class that dealt with writing. For some reason everything else came pretty easy to me.
I’m not a photographer. I can’t tell you anything about composition, lighting or camera settings unless I look it up and read it somewhere else. Hubs calls me book smart and he’s right.
Perhaps that’s why I disappear for long stretches at a time. I don’t have lots to say because my life is pretty much SSDD (same stuff, different day). I haven’t posted pictures for awhile because I haven’t been happy with the results. I don’t venture out much past work, the grocery store and home. I’m sure everyone would get tired of me posting the same kinds of pictures all the time. The cows will sometimes cooperate and the goats, but it’s not like they do something worth photographing often.
I have been around though. I read. And read. And read some more. Sorry if I don’t comment. I’m painfully shy even behind the mask of the internet. I’m drawn to articles and blogs about people in similar situations as mine and people with the same types of interests. I spend lots of time on blogs about fostering, adopting and special needs. I also spend time on blogs of people who take amazing photographs. Or, should I say "make" amazing photographs. I also enjoy blogs of those who love the Lord.
Maybe someday I’ll gain the confidence to do more writing and photographing.

you say you are neither a writer nor a photographer and yet you have a blog and i just spent quite some time reading about your contradictions. you dont have to be an amazing writer to say you are one, and same goes for photography. if you take great pictures, who cares if you really know how everything works and why.
