Thirteen worthwhile Charities and Volunteer Opportunities

1. American Cancer Society – I give to them in memory of my Mom

2. American Heart Association – I give to them in honor of my Dad

3. American Red Cross

4. Local City Missions

5. Toys for Tots – I give in memory of my son

6. Salvation Army

7. Local Volunteer Fire Department

8. Operation Christmas Child – Also in memory of my son

9. Local Humane Society

10. Central Blood Bank

11. Local Food Banks

12. Presents for Patients

13. Nursing Homes

    Great list. :) Those are all wonderful charities to donate to. We donate to the Canadian Cancer Society, and to the Endometriosis Association (I have endometriosis). A lot of the races we run are also for charity, so we make contributions to many other charities as well.

    My husband and I give to Toys for Tots every year. It is a worthwhile cause. I’ve never heard of the Operations Christmas Child.

    My 13 are up.

    I knit chemo caps for our local Cancer Society. Lost my mom to it too.

    I’d like to add one that’s close to my heart: Chemoangels.com. If any family members have cancer, this is a wonderful organization with so many big hearted volunteers. Check it out!\
