Decorations and Applesauce

Written by tbirdonawire on November 25th, 2006

I put up the outside decorations yesterday.  It was a nice day for it.  I didn’t have to worry about 20 degree weather.  It was even warmer today. There’s nothing worse than freezing your fingers off trying to hang garland and lights.  I didn’t put anything up inside yet.  That can wait.
The kids helped me make applesauce today.  They helped peel and cut.  We cooked the apples and they put them through the ricer for me.  A bushel gave us 10 quarts.  That’s a little less than usual.  I just hope Mr. Bird doesn’t decide to go back out and get me another 2 bushels to do some other weekend!

Wow, you mean applesauce doesn’t always come in little pre-packaged cartons from Mott’s??? :) My kids would be amazed.
